On the heels of the state moving into vaccination Phase 1B.4 on March 19, the local Leprino Foods plant in Greeley contacted the University of Northern ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ (ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½) offering doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination that were unspoken for during the plant’s March 20 on-site vaccine clinic event.

The University of Northern ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has initiated its own Free App Days where anyone, anywhere in the world can apply as an undergraduate to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ without paying the $50 application fee. This is in addition to the state-initiated, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½-only Free App Day that takes place each fall.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ announced that Cristina Goletti will become the next dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts.

The University of Northern ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ (ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½) is planning to return to a full schedule of in-person courses for the fall 2021 semester, which begins on Aug. 23, and restoring activities and events that will allow students to enjoy experiential learning, campus life and community engagement opportunities.

After making improvements to their business plans based on judges’ feedback in the semifinals, four Open Division participants and three Collegiate Division participants presented their pitches in the finals on Feb. 24.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ senior Emmy Scott was awarded a $5,000 scholarship for winning first place in Clearway Community Solar's 2020 Essay Contest Scholarship.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has named Arte Libunao as the new executive director of Extended Campus, which offers in-person learning opportunities in Loveland and Denver as well as distance online educational opportunities to students across the state, nation and world.
